Current Office Hours: 7:30-4:00
Position: Vice-Principal at White Swan High School and Mt. Adams Middle School
About Mrs. Smith:
I joined Mount Adams School District in the fall of 2015. I am very excited to be part of Mount Adams Middle School and White Swan High School. I grew up in a small town in eastern Washington and enjoy being back in a community that reminds me of home.
I earned a Bachelors of Arts in Education from Eastern Washington University, a Masters Degree from Heritage University with an emphasis in Special Education. In June 2015, I completed my Administration certification at Heritage University.
I taught for 17 years wonderful years. During those years, I taught Developmental Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, Middle School Resource Room, and LAP Reading. I loved teaching! One thing I loved the most about teaching is seeing the continuous growth in the students I taught and providing them the tools to be successful. One of my core beliefs is every child can learn and meet high standards. They just need to be surrounded by the people who believe in them and encourage them to succeed.
Mrs. Smith's Hopes and Dreams:
Someday I dream of being a Principal.
My Favorite Quote:
“Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.”
My main hobby is my family. I have four children who manage to keep be very busy in my spare time. When I am not chasing them around I enjoy baking, running, and watching the Raiders.
